Information collected and purposes
We only collect the information needed for the following purposes:
- Contact form: name, email, subject and message, to answer your request.
- Volunteer application: name, email, phone (optional), availability, languages and motivation, to review your application and contact you.
- Newsletter: email address, to send you our news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Visit statistics (only with your consent): aggregated, anonymized browsing data, to improve the site.
We never sell or rent your personal information.
Service providers and transfers outside Québec
To run the site, we use the following providers, which may process your information outside Québec:
- Netlify, Inc. (website hosting and processing of the contact and volunteer forms): form submissions are stored on servers located mainly in the United States.

- [PLACEHOLDER] Zeffy (online donations and memberships): an external platform governed by its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (if Turnstile anti-robot protection is enabled on the forms): checks that a submission comes from a person; servers located notably in the United States.
Before communicating information outside Québec, we assessed that these providers offer adequate protection, including through contractual confidentiality and security commitments.
Cookies and trackers
The site uses no non-essential cookies before you consent. Analytics tools, YouTube videos and Google Maps only load after your consent or an explicit click. You can change your choices at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.
Retention and security
Contact messages are kept for at most 2 years and volunteer applications for at most 3 years, then securely destroyed. Access to information is limited to people who need it to do their work.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent or request data portability by writing to the person in charge above. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Confidentiality incidents
If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and keep a register of incidents.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with its update date.
