Terms of collaboration
  1. Joining the Advisory Circle is voluntary and free. It creates no employment relationship and no obligation, either for Matin or for the person who joins.
  2. Matin may invite an advisor to collaborate on a specific project. Any paid collaboration is covered by a separate written contract (mandate, expected results, timeline, fees), in accordance with the laws of Québec and Canada.
  3. The fees set in the contract are paid after the agreed work is completed, under the terms of that contract.
  4. Advisors act independently; they do not represent Matin or speak on its behalf without written authorization.
  5. Non-public information received from Matin remains confidential.
  6. Matin is neutral on religion and politics; its advisors respect its values of respect and inclusion.
  7. Your information and CV are kept in the advisors’ register for at most three years, used only for collaborations with Matin, never sold or shared, and deleted on request at info@matincc.ca.
  8. Your name is published on Matin’s website only with your written agreement.

Registration of Iranian Traditional and Classical Music Ensembles

The Matin Intercultural Institute welcomes the presence of Iranian music ensembles in its future programs. This registration lets Matin act as a coordinator between recognized festivals and Iranian music ensembles.

This call is for Iranian music ensembles of 3 to 7 musicians, in Iran and outside Iran.

Three steps to get acquainted and work together

  1. Introduce your ensemble

Simply fill in the registration form and send us information about the ensemble, its members, its background and an example of your performances.

  2. We review your information

Once we receive the form, we review the ensemble’s information and background; if it is accepted, its name joins the list of music ensembles ready to perform.

  3. We share opportunities to collaborate

Whenever an opportunity to perform at a festival, cultural program or artistic event comes up and your ensemble suits it, we will contact you. Any collaboration takes place only with your agreement, once the terms are set and a written contract is signed.

Terms of registration and collaboration with the Matin Institute

Before filling in the form, please read the following carefully:

  1. Registering for the call
Registering for this call is free and voluntary. In a first step, this call is for Iranian traditional and classical music ensembles of 3 to 7 musicians, in Iran and among Iranians living in other countries.
  2. Nature of the registration
Registering for this call does not mean receiving an invitation, signing a contract or any guarantee of fees, travel or accommodation costs, and on its own creates no obligation for the Matin Institute.
  3. The Matin Institute’s role
The Matin Institute’s role is to connect and coordinate music ensembles with the organizers of festivals and artistic programs. The organizers of each program choose the ensembles that perform.
  4. Travel and visas
The Matin Institute offers no services in visas, immigration or immigration advice and plays no part in the review of immigration applications. Visas are issued only by the official authorities and governments concerned. Any invitation letter from the Institute is issued only for attendance at a specific program or event and does not guarantee a visa.
  5. Terms of collaboration and payments
Any collaboration with a music ensemble, if both parties agree, is covered by a separate contract, under the laws of Québec and Canada. All payments are made by lawful means.
  6. Rights to works and materials sent
The registering ensemble confirms that the rights to all the works and materials it sends belong to the ensemble. The Matin Institute only sends their links to festivals and publishes none of them.
  7. Cultural, religious and political neutrality
The Matin Institute is a cultural, independent and non-political organization; in its activities it respects everyone’s religious beliefs, political views and cultural differences. All programs organized in collaboration with Matin must be carried out on this basis, with mutual respect.
  8. Keeping and protecting information
Ensembles’ information is kept for at most three years in the Matin Institute’s Google cloud storage, which may be located outside Québec. It is used only for coordination and contact with the ensembles and the organizers of the programs concerned, and is never sold. It is shared with organizers only with the ensemble’s consent. Ensembles may ask at any time for their information to be deleted by writing to info@matincc.ca. The President of the Matin Institute is responsible for protecting this information.
  9. Changes to the call
The Matin Institute may, if needed, change the terms of this call or end it. These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and of Canada. If the language versions differ, the French text prevails.
